It was good for 1 night's overnight stay.
It's our second time there. Didn't even look at another place. Service is excellent. Really enjoyed the food. The maintenance must be stepped up. The shower head needs to be cleaned or replaced in room 1. The one window hangs crooked.

Guesthouse is very central.
The location where it is situated is a BIG NO. The streets have pot holes. And it was like a 100km away from where we wanted to be, so we had to travel every morning and also back at night time.
Even when we arrived, in the middle of "loadshedding", everything was still ok. Definitely value for money.

We had an amazing 3 days' vacation at Hendersons Lodge. Very friendly staff who ensure that you enjoy your stay in a conducive and safe environment. Affordable prices with entertainment in your unit. The rooms are neat and spacious with day to day cleaning services. The lodge is safe and secure and offers peace of mind. I would definitely recommend it as an amazing place of rest to anyone travelling across or for a holiday, looking forward to visit again.
Maybe it's just the aftermath after Covid, but there was an atmosphere of "going through the motions". I myself am a guest house owner in the Cape, which is an extremely competitive environment. Senekal itself has quite a few guest houses and the management here will have to pull up their socks if they want to increase occupancy figures.

Having decided to go from Durban to the Cape via the Free State we chanced upon Henderson's which fit our timeframe perfectly. Knowing that there was a microwave in the room we took our own food. There was a heated under blanket and hot water so nothing to complain about.
We arrived there late in the evening. They were waiting for us and the keys were handy. We went to the rooms which were very clean and tidy. The mattresses were the best, everyone slept very well, just a shame we had to drive early again.

The bathrooms need a thorough cleaning, they need to get in the shower and see how the glass doors look. The mold on the tiles can be seen when stepping on it.

Spacious, tasteful, very neat, comfortable stay. The light meals at Henderson's Restaurant are great. We were kindly welcomed and the parking was safe and convenient. We will definitely recommend Henderson's for overnight stays as well as for longer periods of time.

Nice spacious room. Everything nice and clean. Would like to see the bed provided with a top sheet. The question is just where there is only a duvet on the bed, how often will it be washed?
We really enoyed our stay there. We were warmly received and pleasantly surprised with the large, spacious room. We would've liked a kitchenette/scullery to wash our baby's bottles and to prepare food. I would recommend it to anyone.
Bathroom faucets not working. Shower switching didn't work at all. No plug in bathroom. The general cleanliness around the guesthouse was poor. In short, I would not recommend it at all.
The parking was a bit difficult and personally I think if all the rooms are occupied, it might create problems. Unfortunately, I am not an admirer of dogs and the big dog did not appeal to me. It's really just a problem on my end. Some of the other guests chatted loudly on the porch late at night and it was quite disturbing. Otherwise we slept well in a spacious room.
Beautiful comfortable immaculate rooms for good value, and friendly service, close to restaurants and close to major roads. If we ever go that way again we will definitely use them again. The information packs also gave us a little bit of insight into Senekal and we stopped off at the "places to see" before we left.
We were there for a funeral and they accommodated us to leave our luggage there until after the funeral. It was nice and neat.
